Costco is my go-to grocery store because I can buy ingredients in bulk and save money! Luckily for me, Costco has a great healthy and organic selection so it’s a win-win. Below is everything I typically purchase 😁.
Fruits and Veggies
I always buy my strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries from Costco. Berries are my go-to late night snack when I’m watching a movie or winding down and relaxing at night. My boyfriend and I run through berries like no tomorrow so this is the first item we grab when we step into Costco. Berries are also rich in antioxidants and polyphenols so we enjoy them without guilt.
The asparagus spears at Costco are a lot finer than the spears at our local supermarket, but for convenience sake we get them. We also run through these very fast, I typically bake the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper and we have it as a side dish every time we eat.
Spinach is one of those greens that you should either eat organic or not eat at all. I buy the big container and use spinach for the base of my salads (yum). I also use spinach in a bunch of different recipes like: quiche, omelets, other main dishes.
Onions, Bell Peppers, and Cherry Tomatoes
We buy these every once in a while because we don’t use them up very quickly. These veggies are higher in carbs than we’d like so we don’t eat them as fast.
I love using these for zoodles, cauliflower fried rice, and zucchini cutlets.
This one’s an absolute staple, I use cauliflower in everything.
Important for your kidney function, body detoxification, and gut health. I buy lemons/limes and squeeze half in my water everyday. Aside from water, I put these in salads, cakes, and most importantly mojitos (whenever I can).
Meats: We buy our meat in bulk and alternate with what we’re eating every week to spice things up. One week we’ll have chicken, the next week we’ll have beef and so on.
-Chicken thighs and drumsticks
– Ground beef and Ground Bison
– Pork Ribs- the whole rack
Fat Essentials: We get these from Costco in bulk. I store the extra butters and cheeses in the freezer until I need them.
Snacks/ Others: I’m a huge snacker! These snacks keep me going throughout the day.
-Whisps Crisps: These are cheese puffs. They’re salty, crunchy and satiating.
-Roasted Sea Weed: I love this whenever I’m craving something salty at night.
-Macadamia Nuts and Walnuts: I use walnuts in a lot of foods and salads and snack on macadamias throughout the day.
-Coffee: I have Bullet Proof coffee every morning.
-Almond Flour: Essential for baking keto desserts and Costco has THE best price for almond flour.
-La Croix Sparkling Water: I drink these when I’m bored of water and want something extra.
